Call me crazy, but I am a dyed flaming redheaded conservative, alternative rock-loving, tattooed, Sinead O'Connor fan who knows every song from the '50's and '60's, and card carrying member of the Republican party.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep....

You are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place...

You are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...

You are more blessed than the million who will not survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...

You are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death...

You are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If your parents are still alive and still married...

You are very rare, even in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful...

You are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder...

You are blessed because you can offer healing touch.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore...

You are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Have a good day, count your blessings, and remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

You are wished a Merry Christmas.

Heather, thanks for posting that for us. It's not quite the same without the music but it is still wonderful. That took some work, I know. You did a great job. See ya, soon. Merry Christmas.

Dad and Mom, Eric and Star, too.

I know, Dad, but I couldn't figure out how to get the music without a link to a different webpage. I was afraid people would not click the link and read it.

Thank you, Ravenblack.

This is very much in keeping with my personal philosophy. The greatest way to enrich anyone's life is to offer them the hand of friendship, which you recently did for me. I am grateful and appreciate very much.

The very best of wishes to you and your family for the holiday season.

Cheers,

Maso

i know that I may whine and be down about some things in my life, but I am thankful to be able to share the holidays with my family; thankful that we will have food on the table; thankful that we will have warmth and shelter; thankful that we are not as bad off as many ppl in the world...to those ppl suffering around the world, to those who need a prayer on their behalf, to those out fighting wars and in harm's way...they will be in my thoughts and prayers often, and i wish them miracles and health and safety and love in their loves. happy holidays and thanks for your article
