Call me crazy, but I am a dyed flaming redheaded conservative, alternative rock-loving, tattooed, Sinead O'Connor fan who knows every song from the '50's and '60's, and card carrying member of the Republican party.

Did you know that plaster casts of people upon their death have been made for centuries? The casts were made as mementos for the family of the deceased. The Death Mask Gallery has pictures of scores of famous death masks.

Check out Alfred Hitchcock, Chopin, Pascal, Frederick the Great, Ben Franklin and more....

Creepy, but fascinating!

Is it scary? I don't know that I want to see it if it's scary (nice contradiction considering I enjoy CSI, huh?).

No it is not scary tex. Just a bit morose. You should see some of these people. It is really interesting.

I checked it out (a few pages anyway). Very interesting. I didn't realize that this was something that people actually did. Hmmm . . .

Me either. The one of Mary Queen of Scotland is absolutely stunning. I also found the one of Frederick Deeming, Jack the Ripper suspect, fascinating.
