Call me crazy, but I am a dyed flaming redheaded conservative, alternative rock-loving, tattooed, Sinead O'Connor fan who knows every song from the '50's and '60's, and card carrying member of the Republican party.
Blacklisted?
Am I really?

I think I have experienced my first ever blacklist. I am not sure, since I have never experienced one before. I went to read someone's article (someone I usually enjoy reading). I was reading the comments and was about to post. Then I realized that there was no link for me to comment. Then no link on any other article to comment either.
Does this mean I am blacklisted? If so, I have no idea why I would be. I don't remember any confrontation with this person. We do have different political leanings, but I always enjoyed the debate and don't think it ever got heated. I am a little confused.
I wish there was a way for someone to post or message you when they blacklist you. I would at least like to know what I am being punished for.
It doesn't feel good to be blacklisted. I don't like it. I feel guilty that I may have upset someone and do not even know it. Yucky!

I don't really know . . . I've been disinvited from someone's blog (granted, I called him an asshole and deserved it . . . and it was worth it!), but I don't think I've ever actually been blacklisted . . . or at least I've never tried to comment somewhere that I was blacklisted so that I knew that I was . . . does that make any sense at all?
I don't know who or why someone would blacklist you, and I'm not sure how you can tell unless they tell you . . .
I'm really no help at all, am I?

Blacklisting sometimes comes around for ridiculous reasons. Having read your stuff I can't imagine why someone would do it.
Take heart though, when I was blacklisted I took it as a badge of courage.

It is possible for comments to be restricted to certain groups or to not accept comments at all.
Go to a different article by that author and try to post again to get the rest of the story.

That is what I thought too, until I saw other people's comments. I also realized that I couldn't comment on any of their articles anymore either.

HUH?
Not really a help there, Tex, but I appreciate the effort!

Ok I will try. But at least if I was blacklisted, I would like to know it was worth it! Or be blacklisted by someone I didn't respect. But this one is weird.

Well if so, it's his/her loss, you are a very appreciated blogger in the JU community heather, so screw the blacklister

Thank you dear island gurl. You have made me feel so welcome. This is my very first blog ever and so far everyone here has been very kind and fascinating.
To whoever blacklisted me, please let me know why. I did not mean to offend.

. . . yeah, I didn't get what I was saying, either!

I guess that's what really counts then.
BTW -- the person that has blacklisted you is not the person you are concerned that you offended on another thread is it (I think you'll know what I mean by that)?

No, no response from that person yet. I really don't expect one, just hope that person forgives me in time.

Guess what heather, it's the 1st time i blog too, and i think JU is a great community. So never mind that person, they might have overreacted to something you said. I'm sure it's no big deal and they'll 'talk' to you again soon after realizing that you're a cool blogger

No doubt she will . . . she's a very reasonable person.
